View Full Version : I'm down to 2 watches.......

over the last week I sold the Sinn 903, Oris Chronoris, Breitling Cosmonaute, Seamaster 2254 and my Hamilton Khaki Chronograph.

I sold everything via Craigslist/Kijiji and met the buyers face to face for cash transactions. I ignored the lowballers and had 4 or 5 serious buyers on each watch (including the Sinn, which was a surprise considering it's not a mainstream brand). I got more than I would have listing them on TZ, and I avoided all the silly questions, dealing with shipping and paypal.

Now, all I have left is my quartz Victorinox Chrono Classic XLS MT (poor man's Aerospace) that I bought a few weeks ago from a seller for $250 and my Speedmaster Pro.

Can't say I miss any of the other watches, and I'm much happier having my cash in the bank instead of being tied up in watches that I never really wore.

Good ... now bring that down to 1 watch and you'll be like me :D

It is way better to sell on Craig's list than online forum IMHO ...

Am I the one that started this trend around here? hahahaha

you were the 1st guy here. buying and flipping watches is kinda like that old children's book "little black sambo". the conceited tigers chasing each other around the tree until they turn into a pool of butter :)

hehe yep. I blame you! (and the thief that broke into my house :D:D:D:D:D)

But you were right...having just one watch is great. I still have the IWC but havent worn it in weeks. almost forgot about it.
