Unc,
I was referring to your new auto sig.
My son saw the cool sig that I'm assuming it was from your SIL's Seal Unit.
He commented he'd love that logo on a Hat & would wash Vince's car to get it......
My error. After re-reading my post I can see your confusion.....
Ya ole Fart :)

Spuds, it a large gold comm. coin with the seal insignia on the other side. No promises, but I may be able to get him one if they are still available. If not, maybe something else from Seal Team 10...

here are some large pics of both sides. If the coins are not available I'll try for patches or a real Seal hat...

Not necessary, but I appreciate it if it comes up...
You know teenagr boys and the cool Military. I showed him Vince's pic over there in the desert with full gear, that and the fact my cousin Bob knows him...I think... well you know... COOL Dad !!!!!

Those are called challenge coins. There is a lot of ceremony that goes along with those. Google it.

They have an interesting history as well going back to Viet Nam days. That said the Navy was late to the game. The bunch I have were all acquired as presentos after I left active duty and became a civilian... go figure.

Mine too. I never saw one while on active duty. I have about a dozen or so, all presented since I became a civilian in 1982.
