Mike,

Mine was from the original contract run of Oct '01.... bought it in Dec '01. Added the SEL bracelet when it became available. Still have and enjoy it.

I once had a second, also from the original run, that I picked up in Mar '02. Ultimately traded it off in Sept '03.

How much are those going for these days, WITHOUT the bracelet?

It's one watch that I've always wanted to own.

Check out these sites. There's a number of flavors these days besides the ETA 2824-2 25jewel auto in the original 2001 model.
They run from $585 for a new production original style to $2700 for a Valjous chrono version

Packster, if they're selling for $100 bucks, that's about $75 too much! ;)

Ahh.....so they have adopted the Rolex value:pricing business model :D

I keep getting tempted with watches, but have no desire to pull the trigger on any of them. I'm pretty happy with what I've got for the time being.

Packster, as much as I hate to admit it, the Rolex pricing model works, but my days of buying or wasting money on a super premium watch are OVER! I'm enjoying the shit out of my new Wenger Deep Sea! It may not be a Rolex SD, but it sure kicks the shit out of any Omega/Swatch and that's the truth...

my old 14060 that I bought for less than $2 grand from an AD that was closing up shop in MD back in the mid 90's...

PS: Not my pic, but exact same watch!

It was the absolute best buy of any Rolex IMO. Now we live in the era of $9K Super Sea Dwellers. Fuck that...

No I haven't, but I can only imagine! That's why I can never sell my tt Datejust. Replacing it would be ridiculous unless I could find a good used one. Mine is a 95% condition watch. Even if I got $3 grand for it, I would be screwing myself given current pricing...

Keep that in mind when you get your bi-weekly desire to unload it. LOLOLOLOL
