I won't ask whose permission you have to have, but regardless that sucks. The Hi-Standard in its various forms always had a very nice trigger.

If the 22LR isn't enough fun for you, perhaps this little baby would float your boat!

whoa... Whoa! WHOA!!!! Me like! That's a nice big carry and conceal weapon... Shit! I'd love to see the fire coming out of the barrel... WHOA! You have to wear a helmet to fire that thing or you risk cracking your skull! :D

Nice pistol Rich. Hi-Standard made some really nice stuff.

That one may be but this one (http://airbornecombatengineer.typepad.com/airborne_combat_engineer/2005/01/the_maadi_griff.html) isn't. :)

Scott,

Sorry but I don't buy that Maadi-Griffin as being anything more than an urban legend.

You could be right Bob. How about a Pfeifer-Zeliska .600 Nitro Express (http://www.vincelewis.net/60magnum.html) revolver then? :D If that's too big you can get it in .458 WinMag (http://www.pfeifer-waffen.at/cms/html/index.php?module=htmlpages&func=display&pid=32)...

Scott..... er Herr Duke Puukko,

Those are plain insane!

BTW, I know you don't watch TV, but a few days ago HDNET broadcast a neat hour long show on the history of Ducati (I think it was part of the Open Throttle series). Showed a lot of the inside of the factory plus the engineering behind models from the beginning up through the 1098 and Hypermotard. No 1198 as the show was made before that model came into existence.

Nice one Rich. One of my favorties. Hope the bastards let you keep it. :(

Might be time to move to a more friendly state.

My Dad has had a HS just like the one below as long as I can remember.
I was a gift/prize of some sort from the skeet club where he shot.
The holster has his then-nickname Zippy on it, so we've always called it Zippy.
I used to strap it on my belt when bird hunting, just because I could.

No kidding....not to mention expensive.

I wouldn't have minded seeing that.
